Calandre. Desk Lamp. October 26th , 2017.
Kids love a touch sensitive lamp, great for impressing their friends and the ideal choice as that comforting night lamp allowing you to dim the light to the required level. For older children who have left homework to the last possible minute, a desk lamp will provide the means to write up that essay in the wee small hours of the night. I dont think there is a house out there that doesnt have a desk light of some shape or form. They are extremely flexible allowing you to move them around the house easily. Desk lamps never seem to get put out for rubbish as there is always a use for that tatty old desk lamp in the garage or shed!
Energy Efficiency One of the most attractive attributes of an LED is its energy efficiency. The quality of light produced by a low watt desk lamp can produce as much light as an incandescent light bulb seven times stronger in wattage. This represents a huge saving in energy both immediately and in the longer term as LEDs last a really long time and rarely need replacement. Luxurious Brightness The better quality LED are a real pleasure to use compared with traditional lighting. There are color modes appropriate for reading, studying, relaxing and sleeping. Each color mode provides luxurious brightness adapted for our pleasurable experience. The four modes are a great fit to our needs in this range of situations, either enhancing our concentration or improving our ability to get rest.
Current styles of desk light have moved on from the old style desk lamps that we can all remember although you can still see that original style in all modern desk top lamps. The design of traditional desk lamps meant you could move the head into no end of positions and that has been passed down to the modern day desk lamp. Gone too is the old toggle switching that came with two choices - on or off. Nowadays, desk lamps can be touch sensitive or sound sensitive. They come with dimmer switches, halogen bulbs, LED lamps, and daylight fluorescent tubes; features that make desk lamps incredibly attractive to children and ideal for their rooms.
This can be very tiring on the eyes and even cause you to see spots of green and red if the glare on the page has enough contrast. This is not good for your retinas over the long term and subjecting yourself to this type of eye strain could cut your study time in half. Also some people find that the halogen lamp has a subtle, barely discernible flicker that also strains the eyes. Yet another problem with study lamps that have the halogen bulbs is that the light is very concentrated and is only really good for shining on one page of a book and not necessarily the contents of your entire desk. However proponents of the halogen lamp say that having a lamp like this helps you focus on studying and helps to visually black out other distractions.
So, what is it that actually stands out about desk lamps; after all, a lamp is a lamp, right? Completely wrong. Because its called a desk lamp, does not mean it has to be used to provide light for the paperwork - even though, of course, its going to achieve this wonderfully. Lights feature in every house and provide an important effect on current day life. Modern styles show that lighting is useful to highlight an interior design with the use of clever mounting, while using a light by itself, in some cases turns out to be an enhancing feature.
